| Description |
- Review outcomes of the SavannaPlan program to date in the Northern Gulf, Cape York Peninsula, Wet Tropics (Upper Herbert catchment), and Burdekin Dry Tropics (Upper Burdekin catchment) regions, looking specifically for:
- changes in land condition on key landscapes;
- changed land management practice;
- soil carbon status of key landscapes under differing land condition classes; and
- rationale for landholder participation
- Document the current rationale for:
- changed decision making in management practices; and
- intersections between indigenous and conventional management practices.
- Develop case studies of the effects of reduced stocking rates on productivity and profitability from the results of the review.
- Promote the outcomes of the review to industry groups and use it along with the case studies to engage additional pastoral businesses across the NRM regions.
